Heart Hot Air Balloon Craft
Up, up, and away! This heart hot air balloon craft is a sweet way to practice fine motor skills—tearing, gluing, coloring, and pincer grasp—while creating a lovely decoration for home or classroom.
Materials:
- Template of the heart and basket
- Blue Construction Paper
- Glue
- Scissors
- Cut up pink, red, and purple tissue paper or red, pink, and purple construction paper
- Crayons/Markers
Step 1:
Print out the template followed by cutting out the heart shape and basket.
Step 2:
Glue the heart onto the blue construction paper.
Step 3:
Place dotted glue onto the heart and decorate with tissue paper. If tissue paper is not available, practice tearing construction paper into small pieces instead. This is great for fine motor skills and utilizing pincer grasp.
Step 4:
Color the basket and decorate as desired.
Step 5:
Glue basket onto blue construction paper.
Step 6:
Draw the strings and decorate around the hot air balloon as pleased.
